Many believe that the Japanese have discovered the secret to staying young longer. This is because this particular nation lives longer and healthier than others. But it’s not a special secret. It’s lifestyle, diet and probably good genes. However, new research has confirmed that blood types also have an effect on youthful appearance. Not to mention nationality.
Blood types are divided into four groups – A, B, AB and 0. Blood type is determined by a pair of genes. One gene from the mother and one from the father. A recent study from Planet Today magazine suggests that people with one of the blood groups age more slowly than people with the other groups. It’s interesting news. Blood types vary depending on the presence of molecules in red blood cells and plasma. The blood groups let us know who can receive which blood transfusion.
Blood type A has antigen A in the red blood cells and antibodies to type B in the plasma. Blood type B has antigen B in the red blood cells and antibodies to type A in the plasma. In the case of AB there are both antigens and no antibodies. This means that people with blood type AB can take any blood. Group 0 has no antigens on their red blood cells, but they have antibodies to types A and B. People with so-called type zero can only accept blood of the same type. They can donate to anyone.

According to a new study, people with blood type B live longer. It’s certainly not that people who have blood type B are immortal. It doesn’t even mean that others are at any disadvantage. It just means that there is an emerginglink between cell regeneration and blood types. The fact that blood type B could be linked to longevity was discussed as early as 2004.
Experts later looked into why this was the case. Some point to better mechanisms of cell repair and regeneration. Others claim that people with blood type B can handle metabolic stress better, and this may protect them from certain health problems. However, it is not that people with blood type B are immune to health risks. On the contrary, researchers say they have a slightly increased risk of cardiovascular problems.
Ageing is uneven
There is now much evidence that aging is an uneven process. In fact, each part of the body ages at a different rate. Some organs may age faster than others. So a person can appear fresh, young and healthy at first glance and yet be battling a disease. A large-scale study looked at more than 5,000 volunteers. The aim was to determine the biological age of 11 organs by checking the levels of more than 4,000 proteins in the bloodstream. The research showed that about a fifth of the population is aging rapidly in at least one of their organs.
