When I discuss with my friends how often I wash my hair, they are surprised. Even though my hair is quite short, most of them think it’s not healthy to wash it every day. I generally encounter this belief among people, but it doesn’t make sense. In most cases, washing your hair daily is even recommended, and only rarely do dermatologists warn about the complications that could arise.
Yes, personally I usually wash my hair every day, sometimes, exceptionally, every other day. Because they are relatively short, they dry in no time. Some of my friends have even shorter hair, but they are afraid that washing it every day might do them some harm. It’s nonsense.
Dermatologists recommend daily washing
Some people consider washing their hair daily to be a bad habit that is not healthy. But when I asked my friends why they thought that specifically, no one had an answer. And no wonder, because according to dermatologists , washing your hair every day is perfectly fine. It can keep the scalp clean and protect it from dryness.
Plus, there’s a study that shows that people who wash their hair daily feel more satisfied and confident. Which definitely makes sense to me personally. If I don’t wash my hair for two days, although it’s not that noticeable, I immediately feel a little worse. But a proper shower and hair care always gives me a boost of confidence.
━━ You shouldn't wash your hair every day, but waiting a week isn't advisable either.

Of course, washing your hair once a week is not enough. After such a time, bacteria and microbes accumulate on the skin, and there is no need to go between people. Harmful organisms also multiply in the hair while sleeping, sweating or exercising. How much we sweat is just one of the factors that affect the quality of our hair.
The quality of our skin, but also how often we wear hats or caps, for example, has an effect. Plus, everyone’s hair is different. Some are naturally strong, others are more brittle, some have longer hair, some have shorter hair. Dry or curly hair usually requires less washing.
It’s my friend with shorter hair who has curls. And washing such hair is more challenging, requires longer conditioning, longer drying. The shampoos for his hair are special and he has to use quite a lot of them, even in the context of saving, so he prefers to do this procedure at most twice a week. So there is no clear answer to the question of how often to wash his hair. Each person does it a little differently. But two things are certain: Washing your hair once a week is not enough, and washing your hair every day is certainly not always a bad thing, as many people think.
